Study of Worldwide Philatelic Libraries

The philatelic libraries act as the research and educational arm of the philatelic society to cater the need of philatelists about the postal heritage of nation and acts as an easy source of philatelic information. The notable twenty one philatelic libraries worldwide have been evaluated during the present study for their location, establishment, collection coverage, authority details, facilities and their service details. The philatelic treasures are found in the philatelic libraries to solve philatelic mysteries. In order to keep the record of postage stamps as postal heritage or historical documents of national origin, digitization projects via philatelic library websites provide a golden path through the quality scans, identification details and high resolution facility in line with the initiative of digital library for preserving art, culture and heritage.
